Description
I wanted to build a PC for the first time mainly so I could use it for production in C4D, video editing, and photo editing. I haven't pushed it to the limit yet so I can't comment on performance but I just wanted to share my final build with the community since I relied on other builds to choose mine.
Part Reviews
CPU
Nice and snappy performance. Picked it up since it seemed to give the best value for money for what I'm looking to do as a creator. I don't plan to upgrade for a while so not concerned about it being end of generation.
CPU Cooler
Sleek AF. Love the all black design, couldn't help myself. Nice and quiet as well. Can't go wrong with Noctua, except for the price, which I've docked a star for. Able to fit in the NR200 despite compatibility warnings.
Motherboard
Wasn't looking for anything fancy, does the job.
Storage
Picked it up as a second SSD, decent specs and price so I chose to go with this.
Video Card
Other 4070s rate higher than this but I couldn't help going with the compactness and aesthetics of the FE, even if I won't be able to see it in my build. Took a star off for price but in general it was a good midrange option for GPUs.
Case
Not the smallest SFF case but for a first build I wanted to have enough room to build my PC and also accommodate a larger GPU down the line if needed. I wish there was an aluminum option to this but it's still a decent looking case in black. Right now I don't really use USB-C but if you do it could get annoying with no front port.
Power Supply
Great reviews on this product so picked it up on sale. Nice to have the braided cables.
Case Fan
Not much performance difference from the non-slim version from what I've read so I added these to free up space and save cost.
