+ Total (United States):
ASRock offered us their new Z270 SuperCarrier, so we decided to put together a high-end Kaby Lake system to show it off. You can watch the build video to see how it came together and the Cable Management Time Lapse to see how we cleaned things up after the build.
A big thanks to ASRock for providing the motherboard and NZXT for providing the CPU cooler used in this build.
A quick note on the case:
Overall, we were happy with the results from our first build using the Anidees AI Crystal. The finished system looks great and offers some flexible options for making the cable management look good. However, the tolerance for installing the GPU (due to the cutout/cover for the GPU brackets) can be limited with certain motherboards, including the SuperCarrier. If the motherboard has anything tall at the edge of the board (in line where the GPU sits) it can just block the GPU bracket from getting into position. While it would work fine in most situations, it was a close fit in this build that required precise placement to avoid scratching up the SuperCarrier's vanity plate below the GPUs. And we do mean close -- an extra millimeter or two would have made it a non-issue.
