Description

Use: Gaming, light editing, programming

Prices are higher than normal because I live outside the US

Description: Dark build with abit of RGB (Cyan, Magenta, and Blue hues). I love how everything looks, not too flashy, just the right amount of lighting.

PC is super quiet, I cannot hear it on idle, nor do I notice it while gaming.

Monitor that I use is a Philips 248E9QHSB. Full HD, 75Hz, VA, 1500R Curved.

Things I would have changed:

Gigabyte mobo to MSI. Gigabyte's software is buggy and looks super outdated D:

I feel your pain of having higher prices than the US same issue here in Zimbabwe but love you build man looking for the same parts but will go with a ryzen for my cpu

I bought the CPU last year, was choosing between the 8400 and the 1600. And yeah the ryzen 2 or the upcoming ryzen 3 counterpart should be a better buy. Thanks and goodluck!

Love the 1660 Ti! How's it working out for you?

So far so good! Very quiet. At first I was shocked that my idle temps were 50-55C. Turns out it was because of the Fan stop function.

I live in the us and prices are very similar. Nice build and love the colors you have on your pc.

Thank you :)

I picked out each part carefully. Admittedly the case was not my first choice (NZXT S340 Elite) but I'm happy I went with the Meshify. The Dark Tint is gorgeous and it shows the important parts of the PC nicely (thanks to the RGB) :D

Sorry for the late reply.

Correction: I have the Tecware Phantom RGB 87 key.

I bought it at a local store though. Mine is the blue switch version.

There is also a full sized keyboard as well as an Elite variant.

How did you chose between 1660 ti and 1070 or even 2060? I’m having a hard time picking. Also, do you think i5 is needed for those three gpu or could i3 8350k work with limited bottleneck? Thanks and congrats on your build

Pricing is very weird in my country, some 1070 cards are still more expensive, if not as expensive than 1660ti cards. The rtx 2060 was the ideal choice but the price difference was 60-100 dollars (from 1660ti, cheapest to cheapest = 100 dollars)

The i3 8350k should be fine, though I'm not the best person to answer this. Do you already have this cpu? I would say get a better one if not.

Also, thanks! :D

Well i got a job and saved money for real a month ago and am pretty much at 1200 (USD) saved. I did not buy yet, thinking ill go with either i5 8400 and 1660ti or i5 9600K and 2060. right now the 1660ti is around 300 and up, while the 2060 is about 350 and up (USD). I pretty much scraped the i3 8350k idea as i dont see it aging well.

Yes definitely save up! Have you bought them already?

I earned a lot more than I expected so I saved up quickly. Spent about $1600 USD including monitor and keyboard (already owned a DeathAdder elite mouse). Went for the i5 9600k and the Gigabyte triple fan 2060. It crushes fortnite, csgo, rocket league, anything really. Might throw in a few hundred for a VR headset if i feel like it... heres the finished build list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/atyson/saved/rFw9Jx
