As you can see by the title this is my first PC build. My first PC i bought was an inspiron 5675, and while it got the job done, I just wanted a little bit more. I built this PC for Web browsing and 1080p gaming. Also just as important to me was the experience of actually going through the build process which was fun and extremely satisfying. Some notable games that I play are Witcher 3, Titanfall 2, DA: Inquisition, and Borderlands (1, 2 and 3).

9/30/19 - Upgraded cpu coolers and added some cable extensions. I went with the scythe Mugen 5 because of some good reviews I saw. I did spray paint the fins and top black. I used engine enamel spray paint and masked off the heat transfer pipes and cpu plate, turned out really nice and temperatures are perfectly fine. Also finally got a new desk and completed my setup.

Part Reviews

Overclocked to 4.0 ghz. This CPU is somewhat overshadowed by the 2700x but the 2700 has a lower TDP and is a great value.

CPU Cooler

This might be the best cpu tower cooler for the price. Only comes with one fan, despite the picture. I added a second fan but still cools great with just one.

Overall great board. Great overclocking support. Great cooling for VRM and chipset. Bios is easy to use. RGB is tasteful although I have mine turned off. Lots of fan headers to suit your build needs.

Nothing fancy, just good looking non-RGB RAM. Just what I was looking for. No issues.

This is the snappiest drive I've ever used. OS is ready to go from boot in under 30 sec. Game load times are also super fast. Samsung's Data transfer software is also extremely user friendly.

I would fully recommend this monitor for 1080p gaming. This is the first curved monitor I've ever used and i really like it. Performs very well and I was able and despite being FreeSync, I was able to sync both my Nvidia GPUs.

Loving the black and grey aesthetic you've got going on there. I was thinking of going with this cooler and I like the DIY approach you took with it, I may do the same. Overall, I like what you did with this build. Have fun with it!
